A custom WordPress product catalogue built with PHP, structured content types, and responsive custom CSS to support clear product discovery and maintainable content management.
Project Overview
Ultimate Bathrooms needed a flexible catalogue experience that could organize a growing range of product content without making navigation or ongoing updates difficult. The site required clear category relationships, consistent product presentation, and responsive layouts across screen sizes.
My Contribution
- Built custom WordPress functionality and templates with PHP.
- Implemented Custom Post Types, taxonomies, and category structures for product content.
- Created responsive page and catalogue layouts with custom CSS.
- Structured reusable content patterns to keep product information consistent and maintainable.
Development Challenge
The central challenge was organizing substantial product content so visitors could browse it naturally while giving site editors a practical publishing workflow. The architecture needed to remain understandable as new products and categories were added.
Technical Approach
I used WordPress Custom Post Types to separate product content from standard pages, taxonomies and categories to create meaningful relationships, and PHP templates to present that structured data consistently. Custom CSS provided the responsive visual system and helped maintain a clear browsing experience across devices.
Outcome
The completed site provides a scalable catalogue foundation that makes products easier to organize, browse, and maintain. Visitors receive a consistent responsive experience, while content editors can expand the catalogue without rebuilding page layouts.
