Forest Cliff Camps

Modular ACF Blocks and Responsive Front-End Development

kids Camping

A collaborative WordPress project using ACF Blocks, JavaScript, and Bootstrap to create modular editing tools and a responsive, consistent front-end experience.

Project Overview

Forest Cliff Camps required a flexible WordPress implementation that could support varied content while remaining approachable for site editors. The project called for reusable page sections, clear presentation, and consistent behaviour across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

My Contribution

  • Contributed within an agile, collaborative WordPress development workflow.
  • Built modular Gutenberg editor experiences with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Blocks.
  • Added JavaScript interactions to improve front-end behaviour and usability.
  • Used Bootstrap to implement responsive, consistent interface components.

Development Challenge

The main challenge was turning varied page requirements into reusable blocks without limiting editors or creating inconsistent layouts. Each component needed to work predictably inside the WordPress editor and adapt cleanly to different screen sizes on the public site.

Technical Approach

I used ACF Blocks to provide structured Gutenberg controls, Bootstrap for the responsive grid and reusable interface patterns, and JavaScript for interactive front-end behaviour. Working within the established design and development system helped keep components consistent while allowing content editors practical flexibility.

Outcome

The resulting implementation gives editors reusable tools for assembling content while providing visitors with a cohesive responsive experience. The project demonstrates my ability to build maintainable WordPress components and contribute effectively within an agile development team.
